Persija vs Persib Batal Tanding di GBK, Pramono: Saya Kecewa Banget
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he was disappointed with the cancellation of the Persija Jakarta match against Persib Bandung at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Sunday, May 10. The disappointment was said to be felt not only by supporters, but also by him as the regional head.
"I answered, I was one of those who was disappointed. So it's not just Jakmania or who. If you are disappointed, I am very disappointed," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, May 6.
Padabal, Pramono admitted that he had previously coordinated with the police, including receiving the Police Chief at the City Hall to discuss the match plan. Metro Jaya Police Chief Asep Edi Suheri.
"Yesterday, my friends also know that I received the Police Chief (at the DKI Jakarta City Hall to discuss this). So the point is that I am also disappointed," said Pramono.
However, Pramono emphasized that he still respected the joint decision that eventually moved the match from Jakarta. He assessed that there were quite strong considerations behind the decision, especially regarding security aspects.
According to him, maintaining the condition of the capital city to remain conducive is the main priority rather than forcing the match to be held in Jakarta.
"But whatever the joint decision is, it is not contested in Jakarta, I as the Governor because there is a reasoning or reason that I think is very reasonable, however I better keep Jakarta calm, ayem, calm. That's the most important thing," he explained.
The classic league between Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung is confirmed to be canceled at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK). The location of the match was moved to Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The decision was announced by I.League President Director, Ferry Paulus after coordinating with the police.
Security factors are the main consideration for the cancellation of venues in the capital. Ferry said that the situation in Jakarta, which is full of agendas, including the series of Labor Day commemorations, increases the risk of security disruptions.
"Friends also saw one of them, some of the collapses in Jakarta, starting from May Day so the league decided to be held in East Kalimantan, yes in Samarinda to be precise," said Ferry at the Baintelkam Building of the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday, May 6.
Apart from security factors, the density of agendas in Jakarta throughout May also influenced the decision. With this transfer, the match will still be held according to schedule on May 10, 2026 at 15.30 WIB, but at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda.
