Dudung Diutus Prabowo Jembatani Komunikasi Pemerintah dengan Ulama

JAKARTA - The Presidential Chief of Staff, General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, was sent by President Prabowo Subianto to carry out the role as a communication bridge between the government and ulama through an official visit to the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Office.

Dudung conveyed this meeting in his capacity as President Prabowo's newly appointed person to bridge communication between the government and religious figures.

"Yes, this social gathering is very extraordinary according to me, that's why I am here because I am a new official as the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) who can represent the government," said Dudung as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 6.

The Presidential Chief of Staff also revealed that his presence carried out a special mission to absorb the aspirations of religious figures to maintain the stability and integrity of the nation.

This visit was used by Dudung to hear directly various suggestions and input from the ulama.

He emphasized that religious figures have a crucial role because they deal directly with the grassroots community.

"I heard what the advice of the ulama was and then later we will report to the President. There are many important things that I have just received," said the former Army Chief of Staff.

Dudung emphasized his commitment to follow up on every point of discussion in the meeting.

According to him, conveying what the public feels to the President is a functional obligation of the Presidential Staff Office.

In addition to absorbing aspirations, the meeting also highlighted the importance of maintaining national harmony.

Dudung conveyed a message from the Chairman of the MUI, MUIKiai HajiAnwar Iskandar, that all parties should guard their words in order to avoid hatred and slander that could damage unity.

"One more thing from Kiai Haji Anwar, the Chairman of the MUI, the importance of togetherness, maintaining unity and unity, guarding the mouth not to hate each other, not to humiliate each other, not to slander each other, so that the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is maintained," said Dudung.

He emphasized that state stability is a shared responsibility that cannot be solely imposed on the government. Synergy between the government and religious institutions such as MUI is the key to maintaining state sovereignty.

During the visit, Dudung was received by the MUI Central Leadership Council, including MUI Deputy General Chair K.H. Cholil Nafis and K.H. Marsudi Syuhud, as well as other heads of departments.
