Bogor DPRD Chair Stresses Fighting Spirit Ahead of West Java Porprov 2026

BOGOR - The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, attended the 2 Coordination Meeting (Rakor) of the Contingent Managers ahead of the 15th West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) 2026 which took place in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Bogor City DPRD Building on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD and also the Protector of the West Java Provincial Contingent XV 2026, Dr. Adityawarman Adil, emphasized that the fighting spirit to achieve the highest achievement must remain in the hearts of all contingent elements.

He emphasized legislative support for the smooth process of preparation for athletes.

"Of course today the spirit of Bogor 100 is still on. We must realize that our goal is achievement. Hopefully our preparations for the 2026 West Java Porprov will be smooth," said Adityawarman.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, conveyed the advantages of Bogor City which has Regional Regulation (Perda) on Sports.

According to him, this regulation is not just a regulation, but a legal umbrella that guarantees the sustainability of the welfare of athletes, including the opportunity to become employees in the Bogor City Government environment.

"The culmination of the athlete's achievements must certainly be accompanied by the highest award. In Bogor City, this umbrella of law ensures the sustainability of their welfare. If athletes or coaches meet the requirements for certain achievement credits, they have the opportunity to be appointed as employees in the Bogor City Government environment," explained Dedie.

He added that in recent years, the Bogor City Government has massively built sports facilities, ranging from Taman Manunggal, GOM Bogor South and North, to the plan to revitalize the Pajajaran GOR to be more representative and quality.

Deputy Mayor of Bogor and Head of the Bogor City Contingent, Jenal Mutaqin, explained the progress report on preparations that have been underway since January.

He said that as many as 870 athletes and coaches had been declared and were now undergoing intensive training.

"Our sense of optimism starts with discipline. Athletes do regular training 3 to 5 times a week. I also require all managers to go down directly to accompany athletes on the field," said Jenal.

Jenal also explained that a number of sports had shown positive results through various Kejurda and Kejurnas.

Based on the results of the physical tests that have been carried out, the condition of the athletes shows a positive trend in terms of strength, accuracy, and flexibility.

"With the cooperation between the government, Bogor City will be successful as a host and successful in terms of achievements at the 2026 West Java Porprov," he concluded.
