JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli ensures that the social security rights of victims of accidents between the Cikarang Commuter Line and the Argo Bromo Anggrek Train (KA) in Bekasi, April 27, have been fulfilled.
"We will continue to monitor this process until all the rights of heirs are fulfilled without bureaucratic obstacles," said the Minister of Home Affairs in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, as reported by Antara.
Furthermore, he said that as of Monday (4/5), nine of the 16 victims who died (MD) in the accident had received social security protection from the government.
The Minister of Home Affairs Yassierli explained that the total benefits received by the heirs of the MD victim included Old Age Security (JHT) of around IDR 197.28 million, Death Security (JKM) of IDR 42 million, Occupational Accident Security (JKK) worth IDR 2.02 billion, and scholarships for six children with a maximum value of IDR 458.5 million.
In addition, there is also the benefit of Pension Guarantee (JP) which is given periodically.
"This is proof that the government is committed that social security protection does not stop with workers, but also continues to the families left behind. We want to ensure that the future of their children is maintained through scholarships," said Yassierli.
The Minister of Home Affairs added that of the nine MD victims who had received compensation, eight of them were BPJS Employment participants registered at the Jakarta Gambir Branch Office, Jakarta Salemba, Jakarta Kebon Sirih, Jakarta Ceger, Jakarta Mangga Dua, Grha Jamsostek (Kanwil DKI Jakarta), and one participant at the South Tangerang Branch Office (Kanwil Banten).
Until now, compensation has been distributed to heirs in several stages. On April 29, 2026, compensation was given to Nuryati and Nur Ainia Rahmadhynna's heirs.
The next day, the compensation was transferred to Adelia Rifani's heirs. Then on May 4, 2026, the compensation was again transferred to the heirs of Tutik Anitasari, Arinjani Novita Sari, and Ida Nuraida.
Meanwhile, for the other three victims, namely Enggar Retno Krisjayanti, Harum Anjarsari, and Vica Acnia Fratiwi, the payment process will be carried out immediately after the completion of administrative procedures and confirmation of heirs.
Regarding Ida Nuraida's status, the government is still conducting further verification to determine the type of benefits provided, whether it falls into the JKK or JKM category.
