English League standings: Manchester City draws, Chelsea fails to qualify for the Champions League

JAKARTA - The 35th week of the English League has completed all matches on Tuesday morning WIB when Manchester City failed to get full points after being lured by Everton 3-3 and Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League due to losing their sixth consecutive defeat.

City, as reported by Antara, was forced to take home one point from the Hill Dickinson Stadium. In a fierce match, the Citizens were initially behind Everton's goals scored by Thierno Barry and Jake O'Brien.

However, City bounced back through Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland to force a draw.

This additional point makes City's step in the title race even heavier. They are still five points behind Arsenal at the top of the table, despite having one more match.

With three games left, the chances of winning now depend more on consistency in the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is getting worse. The Blues suffered their sixth consecutive defeat after losing 1-3 to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Taiwo Awoniyi and Igor Jesus gave the visitors a three-goal lead, before Joao Pedro scored a consolation goal in the second half stoppage time.

The result ensures Chelsea miss out on next season's Champions League. They are ten points behind Aston Villa who are on the verge of the top four, with just three games remaining.

However, the opportunity to appear in other European competitions such as the Europa League or the Conference League is still open.

In another match, Arsenal became stronger at the top of the standings after beating Fulham 3-0, while Manchester United won an important 3-2 victory over Liverpool, while Tottenham Hotspur beat Aston Villa 2-1.
