Zayn Malik Cancels Entire US Tour Due to Health Issues
JAKARTA - Zayn Malik canceled all his concert tour schedules in the United States for 2026.
This decision was made after the musician had undergone intensive treatment at the hospital.
Although he did not further inform about his illness, this cancellation has an impact on the promotion of his latest album, "Konnakol", which was just released on the market on April 17.
Through a post on his personal Instagram Story, Malik conveyed an emotional message to fans who have faithfully awaited his appearance. He emphasized, his main focus at this time is the recovery process so that he can return to his maximum activity in the future.
"To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you've shown for the release of this album, and more importantly, your love, prayers, and good wishes for my health. I've felt it, and it means a lot to me," wrote Zayn Malik, quoting his statement, Sunday, May 3.
"I've been at home to recover, my condition is improving and I will be better and stronger than before," he continued.
Furthermore, Malik explained that reducing the stage schedule was a logical step he had to take after reviewing his health condition for the next few months.
Although the schedule in the United States was canceled, monitoring on the official website showed that tickets for shows in the UK and Mexico scheduled to take place at the end of May are still available and have not changed status.
"I have to look back at my schedule for the coming months and have to reduce the number of performances on the Konnakol Tour. I want to make sure that I can still get out and meet as many of you as possible," said the former One Direction member.
"I really look forward to playing this show for you guys," he concluded.
For information, speculation about the cancellation is also linked to a report from the Ticketmaster website which shows ticket sales in the United States are not as strong as Zayn Malik's residency success in Las Vegas earlier this year.
