Tangkap Peluang, InJourney Adds 53 Flight Routes to Strengthen Air Connectivity
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) added 53 flight routes to strengthen national air connectivity as well as support mobility and growth of the transportation and tourism sectors.
"From January to April 2026, there are 53 new flight routes operated at various airports consisting of routes that have never been operated before and the addition of new flight services," said InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday as reported by Antara.
According to him, the number of routes in that period increased by 15 percent compared to the same period last year with the addition of 46 flight routes.
"An example of a route that has never been operated before is Sam Ratulangi Manado Airport - Naha Tahuna Airport, which is now served by Wings Air starting May 2026," he said.
Meanwhile, the airline's new route to add flight services to existing routes, such as Garuda Indonesia in May 2026, will start opening flights from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali - Mozes Kilangin Airport, Timika.
He said the development of the flight network was a concrete step by InJourney Airports to make the airport an agent of development to support economic growth and distribution and contribute to the national tourism sector.
According to him, airport connectivity is an important key to ease of public mobility, as well as the smooth flow of goods and logistics.
"In line with this, InJourney Airports will always respond to existing challenges to ensure air connectivity through the role of the airport remains maintained and sustainable," said Pahlevi.
Even so, he mentioned that the current challenges include, among others, the Middle East conflict which caused high jet fuel prices, which in turn had an impact on the sentiment of increasing air ticket prices.
In response to this, InJourney Airports continues to strive to strengthen collaboration with the aviation ecosystem, especially airlines, regulators, airport operators, and other related stakeholders.
This is to carry out various route development strategies so that airports can continue to increase the number of flight routes to meet consumer demand and increase competitive market competition.
Furthermore, he said that on April 14-16, 2026, InJourney Airports participated in Routes Asia as an effort to develop flight networks in Asia Pacific in the midst of existing challenges. In the event, InJourney Airports held a strategic meeting with 28 airlines and 16 airports.
The airline that has just opened a flight route at InJourney Airports is T'way Air with the route Soekarno-Hatta Airport - Incheon Airport (South Korea) starting April 29, 2026.
Then in May 2026, the Scoot airline will open the HAS Hanandjoeddin Belitung Airport - Changi Airport Singapore route, and in June 2026 the Supadio Pontianak Airport - Changi Airport route.
Then, Spring Airlines is planned to serve routes from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting June 2026.
A number of airlines also have a great opportunity to open routes at various InJourney Airports, which will be announced soon such as Centrum Air which will serve the route from Taskent, Uzbekistan to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali as well as Greater Bay Airlines which will fly for the first time from Hong Kong to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya.
"In the international route market, our target in two years is to increase the frequency of existing route flights and open new routes. This is the basis for building long-distance flight connectivity (long haul) directly from airports in Indonesia," he said.
InJourney Airports together with stakeholders continue to carry out various strategies to increase the number of flight route services both domestically and internationally throughout this year.
