Long Holiday 1-3 May, LRT Jabodebek Operates 270 Journeys per Day

JAKARTA - During the long weekend holiday on May 1-3, 2026, KAI will optimize the Jabodebek LRT service by operating 270 trips per day to support community mobility which is expected to increase during the holiday period.

With a network connected to various strategic areas in Jabodebek, the Jabodebek LRT is an efficient public transportation solution for people to access office centers, shopping centers, residential areas, and recreation points, as well as being integrated with other modes such as the Commuter Line KRL, Airport Train, Whoosh fast train, MRT, TransJakarta, and other feeder services.

Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, emphasized that the momentum of the long weekend was the right time for the public to use public transportation that was more efficient and reliable.

"During the long holiday period, transportation using the Jabodebek LRT offers advantages in terms of time efficiency and convenience because it is free of congestion. With a scheduled and monitored travel system, people can travel more reliably," he said.

Based on data, on Friday (1/5), the number of users of the Jabodebek LRT was recorded at 45,077 users. The station with the highest number of users is:

- Dukuh Atas: 7.840 users,

-Harjamukti: 5.338 users,

-Cikoko: 4,718 users,

- Bekasi Barat: 3.845 pengguna,

-Jati Mulya: 3.160 users,

-TMII: 2,204 users, and

- Rambutan Village: 933 users.

Meanwhile, on Saturday (2/5) until 14.00 WIB, a total of 22,201 users were recorded. The station with the highest number of users is dominated by:

-Harjamukti: 3.254 users,

-Jati Mulya: 2.000 users,

-Cikoko: 1,888 users,

- Dukuh Atas: 1.863 users,

- Bekasi Barat: 1.654 pengguna,

-Cikunir 1: 1.652 users, and

-TMII: 901 users.

He added that the trend shows the level of public confidence in the Jabodebek LRT as the preferred mode of transportation during the long weekend holidays.

"This reflects the level of public confidence in the efficient, affordable, and time-certain LRT Jabodebek transportation. LRT Jabodebek is present as a mobility solution that is not only practical, but also provides a more comfortable and integrated travel experience," he added.

In addition, LRT Jabodebek offers affordable fares with a maximum fare of Rp. 10,000, making it an economical choice for people to plan their trips during long holidays.

In the midst of this increased mobility, KAI appeals to all users of the Jabodebek LRT to maintain order and comfort during the journey, with:

* Prioritizing seats for pregnant women, nursing mothers, users with toddlers, the elderly, and people with disabilities;

* Do not eat and drink while in the train or station area;

* Do not speak loudly and do not turn on electronic devices with high volume; users are advised to use earphones;

* Do not bring prohibited items such as smelly food, sharp weapons, animals, and other items that can interfere with user comfort
