In his opening remarks, KUAI RI Phnom Penh conveyed that the Phsaar Reatrei initiative aims to become a symbol of collaboration and friendship between Indonesia and Cambodia, one of which is through efforts to introduce the culture and cuisine of Nusantara to the Cambodian people, launching the statement of the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh (1/5).

At the opening session, the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh promoted and awarded the Nusantara Taste Ambassador certificate to two Indonesian restaurants in Phnom Penh that have long contributed to presenting Indonesian cuisine with authentic tastes in Cambodia, namely Bengawan Solo and Warung Bali.

In addition, the Cultural Night was also enlivened by the appearance of Indonesian singers who have careers in Cambodia, Intan Andriana, Indonesian singer and DJ, DJ Osvaldo Nugroho and Fire Amanda, and the Cambodian band, Crazy Mix Band.

The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh assessed that the implementation of Phsaar Reatrei Indonesia received a high level of enthusiasm from the local community and foreign tourists, which was shown by the crowded visitors, both those who shopped at the booth and those who enjoyed the Cultural Night from the afternoon to the evening before the end of the activity.

Phsaar Reatrei Indonesia presents 12 booths consisting of FMCG booths of various product categories (food, beverages, medicines, self-care, and beauty), typical dishes/snacks of Nusantara, and batik clothing.

In the sidelines of the Malam Budaya program which featured the Nusantara art performance, the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh also provided an opportunity for distributors of Indonesian products in Cambodia to promote their products to visitors through interactive games, fashion shows, and advertising screenings.
