Danantara Caplok Gojek Shares, Grab's Next Target

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad revealed that the Nusantara Anagata Daya Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) or Danantara Indonesia has taken a share of shares in Gojek.

This was conveyed by Dasco in a meeting with the Labor Movement Alliance Together with the People in the context of commemorating International Labor Day (May Day) 2026.

During the meeting, Dasco initially discussed increasing protection for online motorcycle taxi and online taxi drivers through Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2026.

The regulation regulates the obligation to provide BPJS Kesehatan as well as restrictions on the application of deductions to a maximum of 8 percent.

"Policy and other systems will be adjusted slowly, but surely. Because this concerns systems and others. The first thing is then to reduce the costs taken by the applier, which was 20 or 10, so that the applier will only take 8 percent of what is collected," said Dasco at the DPR RI Building, Friday, May 1.

Dasco also responded to labor demands regarding the status of online transportation drivers.

According to him, the government is still studying this, as the government enters the ownership structure of the applier through Danantara.

"Later, these ojol friend organizations will still be invited to talk, will be invited to talk. Because the government through Danantara has entered into the applicator, to take a share of the stock," he said.

After the meeting, Dasco confirmed that the shares that had been taken by Danantara belonged to Gojek.

"While still Gojek," he said.

Furthermore, Dasco said that the corporate action was carried out directly by Danantara, not through State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

"(Directly) Danantara," said Dasco.

For information, currently PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary, Telkomsel, has 23.7 billion shares of PT Gojek Tokopedia Tbk or equivalent to around 2 percent of the outstanding shares.

However, Dasco admitted that he did not know for sure when Danantara officially became a Gojek shareholder.

"I don't know how effective it has been since when, but it has finally come in," he said.

Danantara Incar Saham Grab

Not stopping at Gojek, Dasco revealed that Danantara is also exploring talks with Grab for a similar plan.

"While still Gojek, Danantara-nya is in the process of talking to Grab," said Dasco.

According to Dasco, with the government's entry into the app, the policies set, including those related to driver protection, should be followed by all platforms, including Grab.

"With the same system, the policies taken by the government should also be followed by Grab," said Dasco.
