DJP Extends the Deadline for Reporting Annual Income Tax Returns for Entities until May 31, 2026
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) under the Ministry of Finance officially extended the deadline for reporting the Annual Income Tax (PPh) Notification Letter (SPT) for Taxpayers of the Agency from the original 30 April 2026 to 31 May 2026.
Meanwhile, the reporting limit for the Annual Income Tax for Individual Taxpayers has not changed and will still end on April 30, 2026, given that the initial deadline of March 31, 2026, has been granted.
Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said that the policy was taken at the direction of the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to consider relaxation for Corporate Taxpayers.
"This morning I have asked for guidance from the Minister and he gave instructions to consider relaxing the submission of the Annual Income Tax Return for the Agency. We are working on this for the extension of the reporting period, we will release it soon," he told the media, Thursday, April 30.
According to Bimo, this extension of time is based on the need to increase services to taxpayers.
In addition, DJP is also still improving the core tax administration system, namely Coretax, so that it can run more optimally.
"The time period that we set today requires relaxation because there is a need for the taxpayer service, in terms of ensuring that data can be entered perfectly, and also in terms of the system that we are continuing to perfect," he said.
He added that this relaxation is expected to provide an opportunity for the Tax Agency to be more mature in preparing data, calculations, and administrative completeness before submitting the Tax Agency Income Tax Return.
"So hopefully this can provide more certainty to taxpayers and also give time to prepare everything that is needed as a condition of completeness," he said.
During the reporting period, said Bimo, the DJP also ensured that services to the public continued to run optimally.
Bimo added that the tax office would open face-to-face services every day, from Monday to Sunday, to help taxpayers who need direct assistance.
In addition, he added, the DJP also took a proactive approach by visiting various companies that were considered to need assistance, as a form of commitment to provide closer and more comprehensive services to taxpayers throughout Indonesia.
"So once again, we are committed to providing services that are truly close to taxpayers and fully assist," concluded Bimo.
