Fire at Kanjengan Market in Semarang Burns 400 Kios
SEMARANG - The head of the Semarang Police, Kombes Heri Wahyudi, said the number of kiosks at the Kanjengan Semarang Market, Central Java, which were burned in a fire on Wednesday (29/4) evening reached around 400 units.
"It was confirmed by the Trade Service that the number of kiosks that burned reached 400 kiosks," said Heri, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 30.
According to him, the investigation into the cause of the fire will still be carried out by the Central Java Police Inafis team.
He said the Central Java Police Forensic Laboratory team would also help process the crime scene in the investigation of the fire.
In addition, he continued, the total losses due to the incident could not be determined.
"Thank God there were no casualties, only kiosks that were burned," he said.
Hundreds of Kanjengan Markets located behind the Johar Market complex in Semarang, Central Java, were hit by a fire.
The head of the Regional Police said that the initial report of the fire occurred on Wednesday (29/4) at around 23.00 WIB.
