Honda Launches a Scooter Result of the Combination of PCX and Vario, Price Rp33 Million

JAKARTA - The Honda NS150ES 2026 comes as a newcomer in the scooter segment from China with a unique approach. This model is designed to combine the comfort of a premium touring scooter with the agile character of a sports bike.

In terms of appearance, like the marriage between PCX and Vario, this scooter shows a stronger premium impression compared to most models in its class. The front is equipped with a high windshield, a fairing-integrated handlebar, and a body that looks full and sturdy.

The flat footrest area also adds value to the comfort of daily use. Meanwhile, the double LED headlights and the assertive design lines further strengthen the sporty feel.

Although visually reminiscent of several other motorcycle models, the NS150ES is actually still in the NS150 Sundiro Honda family line that has been marketed in China first. However, this model presents a fresher identity through a simple, easy-to-use design approach, and still emphasizes the premium impression.

In terms of performance, this scooter relies on a 149cc single-cylinder SH-EP engine with a maximum power of 15.5 hp and a peak torque of 14.4 Nm. These figures are competitive in their class.

It weighs 141 kg, slightly heavier than similar scooters, but this is comparable to a more solid construction and more complete features. The seat height of 755 mm is also considered friendly for the rider's posture in the Asian region.

The practical side is also a concern. The NS150ES is equipped with an 8-liter fuel tank, which is quite large for a scooter. Interestingly, the position of the tank lid is below the handlebars, unlike most Japanese scooters, so it provides a more practical and different usage experience.

Honda offers three variants for this model, ranging from the standard version with a digital LCD instrument panel to the Pro variant equipped with more complete features. In the highest type, there is a factory-installed rear box as well as additional features such as a dashcam and smartphone connectivity, which further strengthens the impression as a modern touring scooter.

Launching Greatbikers, Thursday, April 30, the price of the 2026 Honda NS150ES is priced from 13,380 yuan (about Rp33 million) to 16,280 yuan (Rp41 million). This makes it quite competitive when looking at the design, features, and characters offered.

Overall, the Honda NS150ES 2026 tries to open a new niche in the scooter segment. This model is not entirely oriented towards sports performance, nor does it only prioritize comfort like a premium scooter. Instead, Honda combines the two in one package, a strategy that has the potential to attract the Asian market.
