US Spends 25 Billion Dollars During the Iran War, the Most Expensive Ammunition Expenditure
JAKARTA - The United States (US) has so far spent a budget of 25 billion US dollars for the joint war needs of Israel against Iran.
This was revealed by the Pentagon's Financial Supervisor, Jules Hurst, during a meeting with the US House of Representatives Armed Services Committee discussing the Pentagon's additional budget request of 1.5 trillion US dollars in the midst of the US-Iran war.
"Around 25 billion US dollars," Hurst said after being asked "how much the war in Iran has cost the US so far?" by a member of the Democratic Party, Adam Smith, Wednesday, April 29 local time, quoted from BBC International.
According to Hurst, the ammunition has cut most of the US spending in the war against Iran since February 28.
Responding to Hurst, Smith said he was satisfied that the US House of Representatives/Parliament's questions had finally been answered.
"I'm glad you answered that question because we've been asking it for a long time and no one has given us the number," Smith said.
In this meeting, Hurst accompanied Secretary of Defense (Menhan) Pete Hegseth and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine.
