After Viral Hits, TYLA Announces A*POP Album Release Plan

JAKARTA - TYLA is ready to steal the spotlight again with his great work. The two-time GRAMMY® award winner has officially announced his highly anticipated second studio album titled A*POP.

Starting with the song Chanel which topped the Billboard charts, he also made millions of listeners glance with She Did It Again which went viral with Zara Larsson.

This announcement follows the launch of the official trailer for the album A*POP, which features TYLA with the "uncompromising," "confident," and "global" attitude of his new era. The album will be released on July 24 and pre-orders are available via Epic Records.

The album is a continuation of TYLA and TYLA+, which were released in March and October 2024. The TYLA album brought the singer to the highest-ranking African female solo singer in the history of the Billboard 200 Albums chart, and further achievements reflect the emergence of one of the biggest and brightest new stars in the music world.

Two years later, TYLA is ready to amaze the world again with A*POP to mark the start of a new chapter in his career, he adorned the cover of the first issue of Beauty Zine, i-D magazine, another historic achievement for a star who is used to being a trendsetter.

Details about TYLA's latest album are still being kept secret, but enthusiasm for the album has been growing since TYLA first hinted at the title "A*POP" in a glamorous video for his latest hit song, "Chanel," where the term "A*POP" is prominently displayed in a glamorous set, even featuring TYLA deliberately lying next to the property in between dance scenes.

Leaks continue to pop up on the red carpet of this year's GRAMMY® Awards. In February, TYLA told Rolling Stone that everything finally went well with his second album. "I knew that during the album making process, everything would go well, and it did," said TYLA.

"I feel like I've just created something really fresh and really... Tyla."

Earlier that night, TYLA took home her second GRAMMY®: "Best African Music Performance" for "Push 2 Start," the second of three hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and the featured track from the deluxe edition of her debut album, TYLA+. Even as her new era draws closer, TYLA continues to reap the rewards of her incredible debut album campaign.
