Yusril: Commission for the Reform of the National Police Completes the Summary of Work Results
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra said the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission had completed formulating the results of its work.
However, Yusril said the commission was still waiting for the right time for all its members to meet with President Prabowo Subianto.
"After it is handed over (to the President), we will only announce to the public what the National Police Reform Acceleration Committee has formulated," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 29.
He also could not explain in detail the formulation of the commission's work results.
According to him, the party that is more appropriate to convey the results is Jimly Asshiddiqie as chairman or Ahmad Dofiri as vice chairman.
"If now we can't announce it because it's certainly not good because we have to hand it over to the President first, then we will announce it," he said.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto had appointed the membership of the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri), at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday (7/11/2025).
This inauguration is based on Presidential Decree Number 122/P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Membership of the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform of the Republic of Indonesia.
This commission has 10 members, led by Jimly Asshiddiqie (chairman and member) and consists of legal academics, government officials, and former police officials.
