Two Residents in Dekai Become Victims of KKB Shooting Again

JAKARTA - Head of Operations of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Inspector General Faizal Rahmadani, said two civilians in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, were again victims of shooting by members of the Kodap XVI Yahukimo Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

Two victims who were shot, namely AA (26) and NM (36).

"The two civilians were reportedly shot on Tuesday (28/4). Previously on Monday (27/4), the case of shooting by KKB hit a resident with the initials RK (29)," said Faizal as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 29.

Kaops said the two victims were shot by KKB members while on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency.

Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to the arms and thighs, and are currently undergoing medical treatment at Dekai Hospital.

From the report received, it was revealed that the perpetrators of the shooting were suspected of being two people and using a motorcycle.

When the victim passed from the intersection towards the meskaryawan area in the PJPR Complex, the perpetrator shot at the victim's car, injuring both of them.

"It is suspected that the perpetrators had previously followed the korbandan after carrying out the shooting, they immediately fled," said Faizal.
