PERURI Together with 14 BUMN Strengthen Commitment to Sustainability through the TJSL Collaboration Program in Raja Ampat

JAKARTA - PERURI again emphasized its commitment to supporting sustainable development in the lagging, leading, and outermost regions (3T) through active participation in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Collaboration Program of State-Owned Enterprises for Environmental Conservation and Community Empowerment in the Raja Ampat Islands which took place on 22-24 April 2026.

The implementation of the program is focused on Mutus Village and Manyaifun Village, Raja Ampat Regency, with an approach that integrates environmental, social, and economic aspects.

In Mutus Village, the program is directed at strengthening the environmental ecosystem as well as empowering the community. In the environmental aspect, 2,000 mangrove seedlings were planted and coral reefs were rehabilitated through the planting of 650 coral fragments with an area of around 225 square meters. This activity also involves the community and students through environmental education to build collective awareness of the importance of nature conservation.

In terms of economic empowerment, capacity building of conservation groups was carried out through diving training and certification, as well as assistance to Village Owned Business (BUMDes) to eight members who managed to encourage the improvement of management capacity and increase in income to around 87.5 percent.

This program also provides access to electricity for 119 houses that reach around 500 beneficiaries. In the education sector, support is provided at the YPK Effata Mutus Elementary School through the renovation of learning facilities and the provision of internet access, as well as at SMPN 11 Raja Ampat through support for educational facilities in the form of computers, solar panels, and learning books.

Meanwhile, in Manyaifun Village, the focus of the program is directed at strengthening basic infrastructure and improving community social services. The program provides access to electricity for 59 houses that reach 117 beneficiaries, including public facilities such as schools, places of worship, and health services.

In the education sector, three school buildings at SD YPK Imanuel Manyaifun were renovated through the repair of classrooms and supporting facilities including internet access, which provided direct benefits for students and teachers. In addition, renovation of worship facilities was also carried out to support social and spiritual activities of the community, with benefits felt by more than 150 local residents.

A total of 15 SOEs are involved in this program, including PERURI, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), PT Pegadaian (Persero), PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero), Indonesia Financial Group (IFG), PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), AirNav Indonesia, PT Taspen (Persero), PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero), PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, and Perum DAMRI.

This program is a tangible manifestation of the contribution of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in supporting inclusive social development, environmental preservation, and community empowerment based on sustainability. Through cross-BUMN collaboration, social programs are implemented more integrated, measurable, and have a long-term impact on the local community.

Head of Corporate Secretary PERURI, Adi Sunardi, said that PERURI's participation in the TJSL BUMN Collaboration Program in Raja Ampat is a tangible manifestation of its commitment to presenting a sustainability program that has a direct impact on the community and the environment.

"We believe that TJSL is not only about physical development, but also about creating long-term value through social empowerment, improving quality of life, and preserving ecosystems," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, April 29.

Director of Social and Environmental Responsibility of the State-Owned Enterprise Investment Management Agency, Edi Eko Cahyono, emphasized that collaboration between state-owned enterprises is a strategic step to strengthen the effectiveness of the TJSL program so that it can provide a real impact for the community.

"We encourage this collaboration between SOEs to present a more integrated, measurable, and sustainable TJSL program. In the future, monitoring and evaluation will continue to be strengthened so that the program is more effective in providing a real impact for the community, both in terms of economy, social, and environment," said Edi.

Through this BUMN TJSL Collaboration Program, PERURI together with other SOEs hopes to present an integrated, targeted, and sustainable implementation model of TJSL, which can be replicated in various regions of Indonesia in order to maintain the sustainability of natural resources and community welfare for future generations.
