The Commander Gives Respect to the Body of Kopda Rico Pramudia

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Agus Subiyanto, paid tribute to the body of Kopda Anumerta Rico Pramudia when he received the arrival of the body at the VVIP Building of Terminal 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

In the photo uploaded to the official Instagram account of Agus Subiyanto @91agussubiyanto, it can be seen that Agus pays homage to Rico's coffin, which has been covered with a red and white flag.

"The country pays the highest tribute to the services and dedication of the deceased, who have exceeded the call of duty. His figure will always be remembered as part of the struggle to maintain world peace and bring Indonesia's good name in the eyes of the international community," said Agus as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 29.

Agus continued, he attended the funeral with the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak.

He ensured that Rico's services and struggles would always be remembered and serve as an example for all levels of the TNI.

"Farewell to the Patriot Kusuma Bangsa. Your dedication, loyalty, and devotion will be an example for all TNI soldiers wherever they are and where they are," he concluded.

The body will be flown to Medan to be handed over to the family. Until now, it is not certain when the eating process will be carried out.

Previously, Kopda Rico was one of three TNI soldiers who were injured in an attack in Lebanon.

"Rico Pramudia suffered serious injuries and Praka Bayu Prakoso and Praka Arif Kurniawan suffered minor injuries who are currently receiving medical treatment," said the Head of the Information Center of the Indonesian National Army, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah.

Aulia explained that they were injured after the Indonesian contingent's assignment post in Adshit al-Qusyar City in South Lebanon was hit by artillery fire on Sunday (29/3).

In the incident, Kopda Rico Pramudia suffered serious injuries, while Praka Bayu Prakoso and Praka Arif Kurniawan suffered minor injuries and had received medical treatment.

In addition, Praka Farizal Romadhon was declared dead in the incident after being hit by a direct attack at the scene.

Rico, who had suffered serious injuries earlier, had been evacuated to St. George Hospital in Beirut using a helicopter to receive intensive care.
