Nvidia Officials to Meet Samsung and SK Hynix Bosses to Discuss AI Collaboration
JAKARTA - Nvidia Senior Director, Madison Huang, is scheduled to meet with Samsung Electronics and SK hynix executives on Wednesday, April 29 to discuss Artificial Intelligence (AI) partnerships.
This meeting was just right when Huang visited South Korea to discuss the potential for expanding partnerships in the sector. Currently, the team led by Huang is focusing on developing the Nvidia Omniverse platform for industrial simulation and robotics applications.
Samsung and SK hynix play a key role in this collaboration as they are the main suppliers of memory chips for Nvidia. The chip components are needed to train various large-scale AI models around the world.
In addition to component affairs, Nvidia is also working with Korean chip manufacturers to build a giant GPU cluster. This infrastructure will strengthen the AI system in South Korea and support the operation of smart factories in the country.
Before meeting with Samsung and SK hynix, Huang had met with other top executives of large companies. He is known to have met with senior officials from LG Electronics and Hyundai Motor on Tuesday, April 28.
Huang also took the time to share his knowledge through a public lecture on AI at Seoul National University. Huang's presence shows that Nvidia is serious about building a broad technology ecosystem in the country.
This collaboration between technology giants is expected to accelerate the application of AI in the robotics sector and industrial platforms. Integration of hardware and software is currently needed to strengthen Nvidia's position in competing in the global market.
