Jakarta to be Hit by Afternoon Rain, Beware of Flooding and Water Overflow
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that some areas of Jakarta will be hit by light rain on Wednesday, April 29 afternoon.
BMKG through social media pages quoted by Antara said that West Jakarta and Central Jakarta were thick clouds in the morning and afternoon, then began to be hit by light rain in the afternoon and evening.
Similar conditions are also expected to occur in North Jakarta and East Jakarta, namely thick clouds in the morning to noon, then it will be rained in the afternoon to evening.
South Jakarta is also thick clouds in the morning to afternoon, then light rain in the afternoon. As for the evening, the area is again thick clouds.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands are predicted to be thick clouds in the morning and afternoon and will be hit by light rain at night.
BMKG warns that there is a potential for moderate to heavy rain in North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
This condition can cause hydrometeorological disasters in the form of flooding, river water overflow, and landslides that can disrupt community activities.
Meanwhile, the average temperature of the capital today ranges from 27-28 degrees Celsius.
