Cagub Of South Kalimantan Denny Indrayana Explains The Campaign 'Take The Money, Don't Cut The Person', Thinks Bawaslu Fails To Understand

BANJARMASIN - Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Denny Indrayana explained the anti-money politics campaign that was launched with the slogan 'Take the Money, Don't Cucuk the People'. Denny Indrayana mentioned that the election organizers in South Kalimantan failed to understand.

"We regret the release of the socialization props 'take the money but don't take the person', the sentence was deliberately disseminated as a prevention of money politics only for those who distributed the Dawn attack funds because they felt disadvantaged," said Denny Indrayana in a video uploaded to his Instagram account, Monday. , June 7th.

Denny regretted the legal logic of a number of people who called the slogan 'take the money but don't steal the person' as legitimizing money politics.

“The logic is wrong, this actually prevents money politics. Releasing these attributes is tantamount to giving the money giver flexibility for the dawn attack share scenario. It's a shame that the voter supervisors don't understand or pretend they don't understand elementary things, that's why we continue to socialize the prevention through anti-political campaigns, take money, don't steal people," he continued.

Denny Indrayana then reminded the principle of anti-money politics. Money politics is useless.

“Just bringing harm only invites disaster, including the floods that we have experienced in these years. Second, ulun received various inputs of information that today is the day of determination, unfortunately in the field the distribution of goods, money, ulun hears is still being carried out," he continued.

Denny Indrayana asked all volunteers, supporting parties to come down to guard 24 hours alternately at all points in the area.

“We have an anti-political task force up to the TPS, RT and so on, everyone has to be on standby, everyone is on guard, patrolling and so on. Guard so that there is no money politics, so that we stop political immorality in the South Kalimantan governor election," said Denny Indrayana.

Previously, the Head of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Erna Kasypiah reminded all parties not to issue provocation statements ahead of the re-voting (PSU) of the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election. The two candidate pairs that are re-battling in the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election are Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin and Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat.

"All of us must encourage the creation of a conducive atmosphere for the safe, peaceful, orderly and smooth operation of the PSU," said Erna, quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 6.

The South Kalimantan Bawaslu has identified the existence of banners, billboards or other forms that show partiality, benefit or harm one of the pairs of candidates, disrupting the process of organizing the election stages. This includes obstructing public political participation at large and creating an atmosphere that is not conducive to a safe, peaceful, orderly and smooth PSU.

Therefore, Bawaslu has brought order to all of these violations, in order to encourage wider community participation and create a conducive South Kalimantan during the PSU stage until voting day.

Erna gave an example of a leaflet asking for money politics as long as it is not followed by requests for bribes. He emphasized that this was a big mistake and did not educate the public as owners of voting rights.

Based on Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning Pilkada, it is regulated that both the giver and the recipient of political bribes are sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 72 months in prison, plus a fine of at least Rp. 200 million to a maximum of Rp. 1 billion.
