Member of the House of Representatives Rahmawati Sidak Gudang Bulog in Tanjung Selor, Ensure that the Kaltara Rice Reserve is Sufficient Until the Dry Season
TANJUNG SELOR - Member of the House of Representatives Rahmawati ensured the availability of rice stocks in North Kalimantan (Kaltara) in a safe condition after conducting a sudden inspection (sidak) to the Perum Bulog warehouse in Tanjung Selor.
"From the results of the direct review, the available rice reserves are considered sufficient to meet the needs of the community for about five months," said Rahmawati, Tuesday, April 28.
Rahmawati, who is also a politician from Gerinda from Kaltara, revealed that during the raid, he also reviewed the storage conditions and the rice distribution system.
"The total stock of rice stored in the Bulog Bulungan warehouse currently reaches around 4,000 to 5,000 tons, which is used to support the needs in a number of areas such as Bulungan, Malinau, and Tana Tidung," he said.
He also assessed that the management of stocks in the Bulog warehouse was going well and was still within safe limits, both in terms of quality and quantity.
"This is an important indicator that the supply of staple foods in the Kaltara region is maintained," he said.
Rahmawati emphasized that smooth distribution is very important so that the availability of rice is not only sufficient in warehouses, but also evenly distributed to the community.
"The smooth distribution is a key factor in maintaining price stability in the market," said Rahmawati, a member of the VII commission from the Gerindra faction.
Rahmawati explained that the public should remain calm and not make excessive purchases. In addition, he ensured that the government together with Bulog continued to work to maintain food security through continuous stock and distribution supervision.
"With the condition of the stock which is still safe and the distribution system which is controlled, the people of Kaltara are expected to remain calm in meeting their daily food needs," he concluded. (
