Reveals Most Gambling Cases, Belawan Police Chief Gets MURI Award

JAKARTA - Belawan Harbor Police Chief, AKBP MR Dayan received an award from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) for revealing many gambling cases in his jurisdiction. The Belawan Police Chief also received the most awards for handling cases from MURI.

The Belawan Harbor Police along with their ranks continue to take action to eradicate gambling cases in their jurisdiction. Disclosure of gambling cases and handling of child cases has been counted for the past 6 months.

The award certificate numbered 9564/R.MURI/VII/2020 was issued in Jakarta. This charter was signed by Jaya Suprana, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI).

Belawan Port Police Chief, AKBP MR Dayan said the award they received was a form of motivation given by MURI to the Belawan Harbor Police. Disclosure of gambling cases is the main attention applied to all ranks at the Belawan Harbor Police.

“For the past six months, we have continued to uncover gambling cases. We have secured many gambling machines and perpetrators. We have eradicated all gambling games, we hope that our region is free from all forms of gambling," said Dayan, quoted in a written statement from the National Police Public Relations, Monday, June 7.

In the future, the Belawan Port Police will continue to be more active in fighting all forms of crime in its working area.

“We use this award as motivation. We will continue to be committed to eradicating gambling games, besides that we will also continue to encourage the spirit of eradicating other crimes, so that in the future we will continue to receive awards," concluded Dayan.
