Sad, Work Contract For Village Religion Teachers In Rejang Lebong Bengkulu Terminated, Continued In 2022
BENGKULU - Government officials of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, stated that the recruitment program for Village Religion Teachers (GAD) which has been implemented since 2017 will stop in 2021. The program will continue in 2022.
The Head of the People's Welfare (Kesra) Division of the Rejang Lebong Regency Government, Herwin Wijaya, said the number of village religious teachers recruited was 156 people and placed in 156 villages spread across 15 sub-districts.
"The work contract for this village religion teacher or GAD ended on December 31, 2020, but the contract will only be resumed in 2022, because the 2021 APBD preparation has not been included," he explained in Rejang Lebong, Monday, June 7.
The certainty of continuing this program for recruiting village and sub-district religious teachers after the Regent and Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong Syamsul Effendi-Hendra Wahyudiansyah (Sahe) was elected in the 2020 Pilkada.
This pair included the program as one of the visions and missions of the government, continuing the program of the previous regent and deputy regent.
The selection of village and kelurahan religious teachers will be carried out strictly. The recruitment is specifically for those who live in their respective villages or sub-districts and do not live outside.
"Based on the results of the evaluation, we will no longer take from outside the local village and sub-district domicile or from outside the Rejang Lebong Regency," he said.
The recruitment process for village and sub-district religious teachers will involve a number of parties such as academics from IAIN Curup, then the ministry of religion, MUI Rejang Lebong and other parties.
"Selection will be carried out strictly so that later the recruited officers are truly qualified and able to provide religious understanding to the people in the village and sub-district and can do other activities such as teaching in schools," he said.
