KPK ensures that the investigation of the Antam case continues after SP3 Siman Bahar
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has ensured that the investigation of corporate suspects in the corruption case of cooperation in the processing of metal anodes between PT Aneka Tambang (Antam), Tbk and PT Loco Montrado will continue.
The certainty was conveyed by KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo after being asked about the issuance of a letter of termination of investigation (SP3) against Siman Bahar alias Bong Kin Phin as President Director of PT Loco Montrado who died. The policy was issued on Thursday, April 23.
"In this case, we also ensure that it is still rolling (investigation of corporate suspects, ed)," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Tuesday, April 28.
"Because the KPK has also named a corporate suspect, namely PT LM, where PT LM is the BO or beneficial ownership, it is also SB's brother," he continued.
Budi said that this investigation was ensured to run because the seizure had been carried out.
"And the asset recovery efforts that the KPK has carried out in relation to the case of cooperation in the management of metal anodes between PT Antam and PT LM will also continue. We will continue to optimize asset recovery with the entrance of corporate suspects."
As previously reported, the KPK has named two people as suspects in the corruption case of cooperation in the processing of metal anodes between PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk and PT Loco Montrado. They are Siman Bahar and Dodi Martimbang (DM) as General Manager of the Processing Unit of PT Antam.
Dodi has now been sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. Meanwhile, Siman Bahar has not been detained due to his health condition.
The status of the suspect Siman Bahar was dropped after the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) granted his pretrial lawsuit. However, the KPK again named Siman Bahar as a suspect for the second time.
