Wholesale 5 Green Label Platinum, SIG Strengthens the Leadership of Environmentally Friendly Cement Products

JAKARTA - The steps of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's (SIG) green transformation are becoming more real. SIG has purchased five Green Label Indonesia Platinum certificates from the Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI), strengthening the Company's leadership in the development of low-emission building materials in Indonesia.

The five SIG factories that received the Green Label Indonesia Platinum Award are SIG Tuban Factory; PT Semen Tonasa (Pangkep Factory); and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk Narogong Factory, Cilacap Factory, and Lhoknga Factory.

SIG Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni expressed gratitude for the Platinum Award which was achieved by five SIG factories. This achievement is an injection of energy for SIG to continue its leadership in green cement innovation and its derivative products with lower emissions.

"The Green Label Indonesia certificate is a tangible proof that building materials products produced by SIG are not only guaranteed in terms of quality and quality, but also help customers to get products with lower emissions and build more responsibly," said Vita Mahreyni, in a statement, Monday, April 27.

SIG consistently applies the principle of sustainability integrated into the Company's business strategy as a form of commitment to sustainable development. This commitment is realized by implementing good mining practices, adopting digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in production activities for energy efficiency, the use of waste and waste as raw materials and alternative fuels with the principle of circular economy, the development of renewable energy, to sustainable distribution processes.

SIG green cement is recorded to be 38% lower in carbon compared to conventional cement (OPC).
