Assessed As Intervention Of Authority, KPK Chair Firli Bahuri Asked To Ignore Komnas HAM Calls Panggilan
JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) summoned the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri et al. This summons is to follow up on the complaints of 75 anti-corruption commission employees who did not pass the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).
The call for Komnas HAM was highlighted by social media activist, Ferdinand Hutahean. According to Ferdinand, Firli Bahuri should not have come to fulfill Komnas HAM's summons.
"For this, I support the leadership of @KPK_RI not to attend this call from @KomnasHAM," said Ferdinand via his Twitter account, @FerdinandHaean3, Monday, June 7.
The former Democrat politician said that it was enough for KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to send an answer letter to Komnas HAM. According to Ferdinand, what Komnas HAM did was to interfere with the authority of the KPK.
"Just send a letter of response so that Komnas HAM does not interfere with the authority of the KPK leadership by using human rights. This is a blunder by the leadership of Komnas HAM which is very embarrassing," explained Ferdinand.
The Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation of Komnas HAM, Choirul Anam, previously admitted that he had sent a letter of call to Firli. Unfortunately he did not specify when the summons was.
In addition to the leadership of the KPK, Komnas HAM also sent summons to the leaders of a number of institutions. They will also be asked for information about TWK.
"We'll just have to wait, but we'll call at the right time. I have signed the letter, we have checked it, and it has been sent directly to various institutions," Anam said at a press conference held on Sunday, June 6.
He hoped that the leaders of the KPK and other institutions could be present cooperatively to provide clear information regarding the test which is a condition for the transfer of employment status.
"We hope that all the parties we have called are willing to come and work well together," he stressed
