2026 Spanish MotoGP Results: Alex Champion, Marc Marquez Suffers Serious Incident
JAKARTA - Gresini Racing racer Alex Marquez managed to come out as the winner at the 2026 Spanish MotoGP. On the other hand, his older brother Marc Marquez actually had a serious incident that made him fail to finish.
In the race at the Jerez Circuit, Sunday, April 26, 2026 WIB evening, initially Marc Marquez who carried the Ducati flag started the race with a smooth start.
The Baby Alien was able to maintain the first position even though on the second lap he was overtaken by Alex Marquez. Not long after, Marc Marquez even lost grip in one of the corners after falling so that his motorcycle was split in two.
After this serious incident, Marquez could not continue the race. On the other hand, Alex Marquez is still leading in the lead.
Alex is followed by the Aprilia rider duo, Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin. Completing the top five riders are Fabio Di Giannantonio and Johann Zarco.
Until lap 11, Alex Marquez continued to lead. The rider supported by Bold Riders has a gap of 1.620 seconds from Bezzechi in second place. Another Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, also could not finish the race. Pecco had a problem with his bike until he had to enter the pit early.
The race went 16 laps, Alex Marquez without interruption led in front. The fight for third place was fierce between Bezzecchi and Diggia.
Until the race was over, Alex Marquez did not catch up to record the first victory in the 2026 season. He devoured 25 laps with a time of 40 minutes 48.861 seconds. Completing the podium were Bezzecchi and Diggia.
With this victory, Alex Marquez now has 53 points. Meanwhile, Bezzecchi is still firmly in the top position with 101 points.
