From Yogyakarta to Indonesia, Kartini KBC 2026 encourages women to be empowered and creative
YOGYAKARTA - The spirit of Kartini is no longer just remembered, but materialized in real action. That's what the Kamajaya Business Club (KBC) community did through the Kartini KBC 2026 event, a collaborative space that brings women, creativity, and the business world together on an inspiring stage.
Held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Nara Kupu Jogja, Sleman, this event carries the theme "Beautiful Kartini: Brave, Powerful, and Creative". More than just a celebration, this activity is an important momentum for alumni of Atma Jaya University of Yogyakarta (UAJY) to strengthen business networks as well as encourage the growth of the MSME sector.
The Chairperson of the Kartini KBC 2026 Committee, Woro Danastri, emphasized that this event was designed as a real platform for women business actors to connect and develop.
"Women today have a big role, not only at home, but also in the business world. We want to show that women can still work and be empowered in the midst of the various roles they live," he said.
Growing Space for Women MSMEs
Unlike the previous year which highlighted the design profession, the Kartini KBC 2026 gives a stronger focus on the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, both culinary and non-culinary.
A total of 20 UMKM tenants owned by alumni took part, showcasing various creative products from across generations - from alumni of the 1980s to the latest graduates of 2025.
According to PIC Tenant, Johana Ariestanti, this diversity is actually a major strength. "Here we see cross-generational collaboration. This is important to motivate women who are still hesitant to start a business," he explained.
Not only exhibitions, this event is also designed to open up opportunities for collaboration and expand the market for women business actors.
From Yoga in Cloth to Kebaya Fashion Show
Kartini KBC 2026 presents a series of events that are not only interesting, but also relevant to the needs of today's women.
The activity started in the morning with Yoga Berkain for Women, presenting a healthy experience combined with a touch of culture.
Furthermore, visitors can enjoy various activities such as:

Kartini Today: Brave, Creative, and Connected
KBC Chairman, Fransiscus Go, assessed that the Kartini KBC is not only an annual agenda, but also a collaborative movement. "This is not just a celebration, but a space for mutual support, growth, and building networks among alumni," he said.
A similar thing was conveyed by Sekar Tyas Nareswari from KBC Public Relations. According to him, today's Kartini is a woman who continues to learn, dares to appear, and is able to have an impact.
With a target of up to 1,000 visitors, the Kartini KBC 2026 is open to the general public, including participants from outside the city such as Kebumen.
Support from various parties such as Nara Kupu Jogja, Kamajaya Scholarship, The Body Shop, Gardena, and Kimia Farma further strengthens the position of this event as a serious collaboration platform.
Furthermore, KBC hopes that this activity can become an annual agenda that not only celebrates Kartini Day, but also encourages the birth of more economically independent women.
Because in the end, the meaning of "beautiful" is no longer about appearance, but about the courage to take a step, creativity to work, and the ability to continue to grow.
