Outlook DDC 2026 Developer, Soroti Masa Depan Talenta Digital
BANDUNG - Dicoding held the annual Dicoding Developer Conference (DDC) 2026 with the theme "Built by Humans, Accelerated by AI", Saturday, April 25. This conference confirms that humans remain the key to innovation, even though artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly driving productivity in the technology sector.
During the event, Dicoding also launched the Indonesia Developer Outlook (IDO) 2026 report which involved 3,163 digital talents. The results showed that 9 out of 10 professional developers experienced an increase in productivity of 20 to more than 50 percent thanks to the use of generative AI in their work.
Dicoding CEO, Narenda Wicaksono, revealed that the majority of developers also consider practical learning outside the campus to be increasingly important.
As many as 75 percent of professional developers believe that technology skills need to be learned independently, while 63 percent rely on online courses as the main source of learning.
"For eleven years, the support of developers has helped Dicoding provide an economic impact of up to IDR 6.5 trillion for Indonesia," said Narenda.
Meanwhile, Dicoding's Chief Learning Officer, Oon Arfiandwi, emphasized that career opportunities in the technology sector remain wide open, even outside the traditional IT sector.
"Non-IT companies are now the largest absorbers of digital talent. Learning technology remains relevant, but the way of learning must be transformed, including by utilizing AI and building a strong portfolio," said Oon.
DDC 2026 also received support from the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency. Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam, assessed that mastering AI is important to encourage the growth of the national creative economy.
This event also featured various discussion and panel sessions involving the government, academics, industry practitioners, and Dicoding alumni. In addition, there are three main learning tracks, namely Gen AI & Data Science, Modern App Development with AI, and AI for Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps.
With the support of strategic partners such as DBS Foundation, IBM, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and Lintasarta, Dicoding confirms its commitment to producing superior digital talent who are ready to compete in the AI-based era.
Founded in 2015, Dicoding now has more than 1.3 million users and has held dozens of technology training programs to bridge the need for digital talent in Indonesia.
