Rano Karno Says the Construction of the DKI Satpol PP Office is Delayed due to Efficiency
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno admitted that the plan to build an office for the Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) had been budgeted, but was delayed due to efficiency policies.
"Actually it has been designed and budgeted, it's just been affected by efficiency," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, April 29.
Responding to the request of the Head of the Satpol PP Satriadi Gunawan who hopes that his party can have its own office, Rano also admitted that he had discussed this with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung.
"Yesterday I had a talk with the Governor, it seems that we have to evaluate this problem again. Moreover, we want to be a global city," said Rano.
He admitted that he was concerned because the Satpol PP personnel in the field did not have adequate rest areas. In fact, as an executor of regional regulations that have a large field task, the health of Satpol PP is an important thing.
Ranopun was surprised by the condition of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP which until now has not had its own office. Because an institution as large as Satpol PP should have an adequate command headquarters (Mako) to support operations.
"Sorry, the term is that if the police don't have a Polda, it's strange. So if Satpol PP doesn't have a mako, it's strange," said Rano.
Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP (Satpol PP) Satriadi Gunawan hoped that the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP ranks would have their own representative offices to support performance and improve the comfort of personnel in the field.
"So, Jakarta doesn't have a Satpol PP Office yet. We are still squatting in Block H, City Hall. On the 16th floor. Sometimes if there are visits from regions or regions, we still receive it at City Hall because we don't have our own office," said Satriadi in Jakarta, Saturday.
According to him, the availability of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP office is very important. Moreover, Jakarta is a global city and was named the 2nd safest city in ASEAN after Singapore.
For this reason, he hopes that in the future the Satpol PP DKI Jakarta can have an office to monitor the performance of the personnel, which currently number 5,000 people.
"We already have land in Cempaka Putih. That was also yesterday I said it was very urgent, to be able to control our members. We have also proposed to Mr. Governor during the visit," explained Satriadi.
