Involved in Drug Trafficking, Robig Ex-Policeman who Shot a Student at SMKN4 Semarang was Transferred to Nusakambangan
SEMARANG - Former member of the Semarang Police, Robig Zaenudin, who was convicted of the alleged shooting that killed a student at SMKN 4 Semarang, tested positive for drugs while serving his sentence at the Semarang Prison.
Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police Kombes Artanto said this was revealed when officers from the Narcotics Investigation Directorate checked into the prison in January 2026.
"Urine tests were conducted, the results were positive for drugs. But it is not known what type," he said as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 25.
According to him, Robig Zaenudin has been officially fired from the police in February 2026.
The convict in the shooting case that killed the student of SMKN 4 Semarang with the initials GRO was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Robig was found guilty of violating Article 80 paragraph (3) and (1) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
Robig was transferred from Semarang Prison to a prison in Nusakambangan, Cilacap, allegedly involved in drug trafficking from within the prison.
The Semarang Prison said the transfer was carried out to prevent potential disturbances of security and order.
