Celebrate Kartini Day, Shopee and 5 Logistics Partners Strengthen the Role of Women in Driving Family Economic Resilience
JAKARTA - In conjunction with the commemoration of Kartini Day, Shopee Indonesia and 5 logistics partners including Anteraja, JNE, Pos Indonesia, SiCepat, and SPX Express, present a digital training activity entitled 'Ready to Compete in the Era of Change with Logistics Partners'.
This training is aimed at equipping dozens of couriers and female employees from logistics partner companies with digital skills to strengthen women's economic independence in today's era of change. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (2025), more than 37 million MSMEs in Indonesia are managed by women, showing the role and potential of the 'Modern Kartini' in driving the economy.
To further optimize this potential, strengthening digital skills is key in increasing women's productivity and competitiveness in the digital ecosystem. Through this training, Shopee's logistics partner courier and female employees are equipped with practical skills, ranging from starting a business as a Shopee Seller, becoming a content creator through the Shopee Affiliate program to increase income, to utilizing retail business opportunities through the Shopee Partner program.
Shopee Indonesia's Director of Business Partnership, Daniel Minardi, emphasized Shopee's commitment to expanding access and economic opportunities for women through the use of digital technology.
"Our Kartini spirit is realized through concrete steps by opening access to training, mentoring, and income opportunities for women in the Shopee ecosystem. Together with logistics partners, we ensure that participants not only understand the basics of digital, but are also able to immediately start and develop businesses, create new sources of income, and contribute to the economic resilience of families," he explained. , in a written statement, Friday, April 24.
This activity was also welcomed by Shopee's logistics partners. They realize that empowering couriers and female courier employees will also have a positive impact on the welfare of courier families in the long term.

Dozens of couriers and female employees from Shopee's 5 logistics partners received digital training to open up income opportunities in the digital economy in celebration of Kartini Day.
Senior Vice President of Retail Business at Pos Indonesia, Helly Siti Halimah, said that strengthening digital skills opens wider access for women to be more economically empowered through productivity in the digital ecosystem.

We hope that this digital skills training can also encourage the opportunities of the digital ecosystem to be more open and inclusive. Dozens of training participants showed great enthusiasm in adding digital knowledge and skills. Riska Kurniasari, a courier for the logistics company Anteraja from East Jakarta, said that her insight was becoming more open and eager to explore opportunities in the digital economy after attending the training.
"From the training I got new knowledge about income opportunities from digital platforms, besides selling on Shopee, I can be an Affiliate and Shopee Partner as well. If I myself am interested in trying to become a Shopee Affiliate to earn extra income. It's also interesting to make content on social media in between work," said Riska.
Apart from Riska, similar enthusiasm was also expressed by Novia Rahmadani, a female courier from the logistics company Pos Indonesia who felt that the digital platform gave her space to remain productive from home.
"There are many new things I learned earlier, ranging from how to become a Shopee Partner to Shopee Affiliate. The material is easy to understand, especially since I myself have already started to try to make content for affiliates. Through today's training, I understand more about what I can improve to become an affiliate creator, such as being more consistent in creating content every day, sharing product links, and routinely evaluating affiliate performance independently," concluded Novia.
