Banjarmasin Prosecutor's Office Names Suspects of Computer Rental Corruption to Rp5.08 Billion Network

BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in South Kalimantan has named one suspect in the alleged corruption case of renting computer servers, applications, and networks at the Banjarmasin City Education Office (Disdik) which has caused a loss of state funds of Rp. 5.08 billion.

"The suspect with the initials TAN plays a role as a provider in this project at the education office," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Banjarmasin District Attorney's Office, Ardian Junaedidilansir ANTARA, Friday, April 24.

He explained that the determination of the suspect was made after investigators obtained the results of the audit of state losses.

Meanwhile, the total budget ceiling of the project to procure network and application server rentals for elementary schools in Banjarmasin City in the period 2021 to 2024 is around Rp. 6.5 billion with a realization of Rp. 5.42 billion.

However, based on the audit results, a state loss of Rp5.08 billion was found.

In its implementation, a number of irregularities in the procurement procedures for goods and services, as well as non-compliance with the standards of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) were found.

In addition, some of the applications provided are reported to not work optimally.

The case began with a report from the public regarding alleged irregularities in the Digital Attendance System program based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) at the elementary school level in 2023.

From the results of the investigation, the indication of illegal acts extends to the activities of renting servers, applications, and networks since 2021.

Ardian stated that so far investigators have examined around 40 witnesses.

"The suspect himself has been detained and it is not impossible that there will be other suspects if, in the course of the investigation, at least two valid pieces of evidence are found," he said.
