Temporarily Impacted by Land Release, Progress of Sitinjau Lauik is Now 16.4 Percent

JAKARTA - The construction of Flyover Panorama I (Sitinjau Lauik I) continues to show positive developments despite previously being hampered by land acquisition.

PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjau Lauik (HPSL) as the Implementing Business Entity (BUP) reported that as of April 17, 2026, the physical progress of the work had reached 16.4 percent.

This achievement marks a crucial phase in the construction of infrastructure designed to overcome extreme lanes in West Sumatra. Currently, the structure of Bridge 1 is beginning to be clearly visible after the construction team completed the work on the lower structure, including the abutment (bridge head) and pillars.

On Thursday, April 9, HPSL has installed a girder (main beam supporting the bridge at Bridge 1.

This step is a vital stage in the formation of the upper structure. After the installation of the girder on several stretches is complete, the team is now focusing on the installation of iron reinforcement, formwork (mold) and the preparation of the casting of the bridge floor.

Director of PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjau Lauik Michael AP Rumenser emphasized that all stages were carried out with strict supervision to ensure quality and safety of work.

"We are committed to carrying out our role as a professionally managed business entity. We also ask for the prayers and support of the community so that this project provides optimal benefits for Padang-Solok connectivity," said Michael as quoted from a written statement, Friday, April 24.

In addition to the construction side, the progress of land procurement carried out by the National Land Agency (BPN) together with related stakeholders also continues to show progress.

Until the end of April 2026, the majority of people's land areas have entered the stage of legal and administrative completion.

On Wednesday, April 8, the land procurement process has entered the next stage, in which a total of four land plots have been completed through a series of bidding processes, to the determination of the consignment, which is the basis for the issuance of the Legal Relationship Termination (PHH) by BPN.

The total target for the procurement of community land is 31 land areas, including social facilities and public facilities (fasos/fasum) which are still ongoing.

Then, on Tuesday, April 21, a continuation of the concession offer was carried out for eight land areas, so that cumulatively the number of areas that have gone through the concession offer stage reached 12 areas.

Thus, currently there are approximately five areas of community land with an area of approximately 0.07 hectares that need to be released.

The construction of the Sitinjau Lauik I Flyover is not just an ordinary infrastructure project.

His presence is projected to be a permanent solution to minimize the risk of accidents at extreme corners that have haunted road users.

Secara makro, proyek tersebut diharapkan mampu memperkuat distribusi logistik dan efisiensi waktu tempuh antara Kota Padang dan Solok.

With more reliable connectivity, economic growth in the West Sumatra region is believed to be accelerated through the smooth flow of goods and services.

"With the spirit of collaboration and commitment to sustainable development, we are optimistic that the Flyover Panorama I Sitinjau Lauik I project can be completed according to target and provide real benefits for the wider community," he concluded.
