Lebak Bulus, Rano Karno Illegal Parking Enforcement Reduces 200 Joint Personnel

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno directly led the volunteer work to enforce illegal parking in the Point Square area, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Friday (24/4) morning. The arrangement was made in response to residents' complaints about the chaos of parking vehicles on the road.

The crackdown is focused on the area next to Mal Poins Square, specifically on Jalan Kembang Lestari. Land owned by Perumda Sarana Jaya is prepared as a location for the relocation of vehicles that were previously parked on the side of the road.

A total of 200 joint personnel were deployed in this activity. They come from the PPSU, the Road Construction Agency, the Transportation Agency, to the Satpol PP.

"Starting today, we will clean up this area. All vehicles, especially motorbikes that are currently on the road, will be moved to the area that has been provided. Thus, a safer, more comfortable, and orderly condition will be created, and will not interfere with the activities of the stalls and traffic around," said Rano at the location, Friday, April 24.

He emphasized that the regulation of illegal parking was not merely a physical arrangement of the area, but also part of the public service effort so that road space could be optimally functional again.

"We appeal to residents not to park illegally. In addition to violating the rules, this practice causes congestion, hinders public access, and has the potential to cause crime and accidents," said Rano.

Rano also asked the public to play an active role in maintaining the order of public facilities that have been arranged. He opened a report room for residents if there are still points that need to be improved.

This step is part of the arrangement of residential areas and centers of activity for residents in South Jakarta, which have been marred by illegal parking on the road. The local government targets that a similar pattern of enforcement can be applied in other locations with a relocation approach, not just enforcement.
