Police Investigate Alleged Cutting of Video of Jusuf Kalla's Speech
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a report of alleged cutting of videos of speeches by the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, which is suspected of triggering unrest in the community.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said the evidence would be analyzed through a digital forensic laboratory.
"The evidence will be analyzed and tested using the Polri digital forensic laboratory which has been certified," he said, Thursday, April 23, 2026.
In addition, investigators also prepared the administrative investigation and scheduled an examination of the reporter and witnesses.
The report was filed by Uncle Nurlette together with the Maluku Lawyers Professional Alliance on Monday, April 20, 2026, and was registered with the number LP/B/2767/IV/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.
Two content creators, Ade Armando and Permadi Arya, were reported for allegedly cutting a lecture video to create elements of incitement and provocation.
