Ryan Roslansky Resigns from the Position of CEO at LinkedIn

JAKARTA - Ryan Roslansky resigned as CEO of LinkedIn after leading the job search platform for six years. This resignation was delivered on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Now, the position will be filled by Dan Shapero who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Roslansky has managed to develop LinkedIn significantly since taking office in June 2020. Under his leadership, LinkedIn's membership has jumped from 700 million to 1.3 billion users worldwide.

The company's finances also improved during his tenure with annual revenue reaching 17 billion US dollars (Rp293.9 trillion). This achievement proves that Roslansky has successfully run the LinkedIn business.

Roslansky also managed to change LinkedIn's image from just a job vacancy site to a professional social network. This transformation encourages executives and workers to be more active in sharing content and career advice on the platform.

Even though he stepped down from the CEO's chair, Roslansky still holds the position of Executive Vice President at Microsoft. By resigning from LinkedIn, Roslansky believes that his role in the Microsoft structure will continue to grow.

And Shapero will report directly to Roslansky in running the company's operations. This leadership transition is expected to run smoothly considering the two have worked together for quite some time.

Roslansky is known to have joined LinkedIn since 2009 and has occupied almost all important positions in various divisions. After successfully occupying the highest position in the company, his focus will now shift to Microsoft, the company that oversees LinkedIn.
