Eight Burkina Faso African Students Study at UIKA Bogor Through Scholarships
BOGOR - Bogor Ibn Khaldun University (UIKA) received eight international students from Burkina Faso through a scholarship program in 2026. Their presence marked the strengthening of the internationalization of the campus in the 65th anniversary momentum.
A total of six students are pursuing undergraduate (S1) programs and two others are master's programs (S2). They received scholarships through a number of schemes, such as the UIKA Talent Excellence Scholarship, Tahfidz Scholarship, and Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) Scholarship.
The Rector of UIKA Bogor, Mujahidin, said that the acceptance of foreign students is part of a long-term strategy to strengthen the campus' position at the global level.
"The provision of scholarships to international students is a form of UIKA's commitment to strengthening internationalization. We want to make UIKA a campus that is open to the world," said Mujahidin in his statement, Thursday, April 23.
According to him, UIKA continues to expand its international network. In addition to students from Africa, the campus has also received students from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. In the future, UIKA targets the arrival of students from Japan, Russia, and other countries.
The presence of students from across the country is considered to enrich the academic atmosphere to be more dynamic and multicultural, as well as increase the competitiveness of graduates.
This step also strengthens UIKA's position as one of the higher education destinations in Bogor which has begun to attract international students, as well as being part of the strategy to increase the reputation of the campus at the global level.
