Poland's Drone Spending Soars 250-Fold in 3 Years
JAKARTA - Poland will spend 250 times more on drugs in 2026 than three years ago, said Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk.
Tomczyk attended the anti-drone system testing of the Central Air Force Training Ground in Ustka.
"We are experiencing a drone revolution in the Polish Army. In 2023, around 100 million zlotys [about Rp474.6 billion] will be spent on the procurement of drones and anti-drone systems," he said, quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, April 23.
"Meanwhile, for 2026, this expenditure is planned at 25 billion zlotys [about Rp118.7 trillion]," he added.
He said the testing site was used to test an anti-drone system that can find the source of a sound, including detecting approaching drones, recording their arrival directions, and "tracking and classifying objects."
