Purbaya Removes Two Officials of Level I of the Ministry of Finance

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has removed two I-level officials at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), namely the Director General of the Budget Luky Alfirman and the Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy Febrio Nathan Kacaribu.

Purbaya said that the decision had been in effect since Tuesday, April 21 and for the time being, the operations of the two directorates general were led by the Acting Director (Plh).

"(The Director General of the Budget and the Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy were replaced?) Yes, the Plh has been given now. From yesterday afternoon it has been active," he told the media, Wednesday, April 22.

Regarding the continuation of Luky and Febrio's careers, Purbaya has not revealed the new position that will be given.

He said he was still studying to place the two according to their respective competencies.

"Rest first. Later we will find a suitable place for them," he said.

In addition, the I-level position at the Ministry of Finance that is still vacant is also in the position of Director General of Stability and Development of the Financial Sector, after previously being left by Masyita Crystallin.

He added that currently, the selection process is being carried out to fill the three strategic positions and the names of the selected candidates will later be submitted to President Prabowo Subianto for approval.

Purbaya targets that this leadership change process can be completed by the beginning to mid-May 2026.
