Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono Explains American Warships Passing Through the Malacca Strait
Jakarta - Foreign Minister (Menlu) Sugiono responded to the US warship passing through the Malacca Strait.
According to Foreign Minister Sugiono, the warship was on patrol and this was a common practice and could not be immediately seen as a sign that Indonesia was entering a new escalation vortex.
This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Sugiono at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 22. On this occasion, Foreign Minister Sugiono also refused to respond regarding the possibility of a US military operation against the tanker ship which is said to have interests or is affiliated with Iran.
The reason, Foreign Minister Sugiono did not want to respond to things that had never happened. For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, what exists at this time is still limited to the situation in the region which continues to be monitored.
