SpaceX Siapkan Rp172 Triliun untuk Akuisisi Cursor, Latih Model AI Lebih Cepat

JAKARTA - SpaceX announced a new partnership with AI company Cursor that could pave the way for a $60 billion acquisition by the end of this year.

In its upload on the X platform, SpaceX said that SpaceXAI and Cursor are now working closely together to create the world's best AI coding and knowledge work.

"The combination of Cursor's flagship products and their distribution to expert software engineers with SpaceX's Colossus training supercomputer equivalent to millions of H100s will allow us to build the most useful models in the world," he wrote.

This move follows an earlier consolidation after SpaceX acquired xAI, Musk's AI company that also controls the X platform, earlier this year.

In a separate statement, Cursor said this partnership aims to accelerate the training of their AI models, especially after several iterations of the models developed in a short time.

The company says it released its first agent coding model, Composer, less than six months ago. Since then, Composer 1.5 has improved reinforcement learning capabilities by more than 20 times, while Composer 2 adds continuous pretraining to achieve leading-edge performance at a much lower cost than other models.

Through this partnership, Cursor said its team will leverage xAI's Colossus infrastructure to significantly improve model intelligence, both for programming needs and other uses outside of coding.

"With this partnership, our team will leverage Colossus' infrastructure from xAI to dramatically improve the intelligence of our models," he concluded.
