JAKARTA - The leadership dualism that has overshadowed the Red and White Army (LMP) organization for years has finally officially ended. The reconciliation between Adek Erfil Manurung and the General Chairman of the LMP for the period 2025-2030 M Arsyad Cannu was a turning point marking a new chapter of unity and strengthening the organization at the national level. Chairman of the Red and White Army (LMP), M Arsyad Cannu, emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and respecting the services of the founders and previous leaders. He also invited all cadres to synergize with the government, TNI, and Polri in maintaining national stability.
"We invite all members to continue to respect the services of the previous leaders, as well as instill the values of unity, brotherhood, and fighting spirit for the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Arsyad Cannu in a statement received, Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Meanwhile, according to the Founding Board and Former LMP Chairman, Adek Erfil Manurung, he is committed to helping grow the organization by reactivating the strength of cadres throughout Indonesia.
This reconciliation is expected to be a momentum for the revival of LMP to appear more solid, professional, and competitive in the future.
"Today we are united. Insyaallah, no one else claims to be the General Chairman of the Red and White Army, with my brother Arsyad Cannu, he is my national figure. We have both raised the Red and White Army, we have been together since the Red and White Army was founded on October 28, 2000, and today we are united," said Adek Erfil Manurung.
In addition, the Acting Director General of Politics and PUM of the Ministry of Home Affairs, who was also the Governor of North Kalimantan, Togap Simangunsong was also present to witness the signing of the reconciliation to encourage the Red and White Army (LMP) to remain solid.
"We hope that this reconciliation will be a momentum for the Red and White Army, because both of them are great figures, both H.M Asyad Canu and H. Ade Erfil Manurung, and I know both of them well, of course I hope that LMP can be great and prosperous," he said.
