Audi Marissa and Arifin Putra Duet in Part-Time Wife

JAKARTA - Actress Audi Marissa has once again got the role of a betrayed wife in MD Entertainment's latest series, "Istri Paruh Waktu". However, there is something different about her role this time as Riska.

Usually, the character of the wife who is hurt is depicted as weak and helpless, Audi Marissa promises a smarter, stronger, and braver character in facing the storm of her marriage.

"Here I feel that my character is not made like weak women, who are blind. But I was made here, the character is really strong, really smart," said Audi Marissa in South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 21.

Audi admitted that he was satisfied playing the character of Riska because he felt that his character's actions were very reasonable for a wife in today's time. He hopes that this character can be an inspiration for women who experience similar situations.

"Firm and brave! He is brave and not weak, that's what I like. If the usual one is like, 'Oh, I know my husband is cheating, I cry'. No! It's not here," said Audi.

So strong is the scenario written, Audi admitted that he was often carried away by emotions during the script reading process. He even predicted that the audience would feel uncomfortable and want to "throw shoes" at the television screen. "I who read it was emotional, I don't know if the audience might have thrown shoes at the TV. That's for sure, I swear it's really exciting," concluded Audi Marissa while laughing.

Furthermore, according to Arifin Putra, one of the main strengths of this series lies in its script which has a very fast (fast-paced) flow and is filled with plot twists.

"The story is really fast-paced and has a lot of twists. We just read it, 'Wow, this is really exciting, there are a lot of twists'. So basically spread the word, this story will be very exciting," said Arifin Putra.

Manoj Punjabi as the producer added that this series will explore the deepest side of marriage, including hidden secrets that are usually not dared to be talked about openly.

"It's normal what's in a husband-wife, what's the secret that you don't dare to talk about, here we talk about it. There is an inner side that we see more painful, we just talk about it," explained Manoj.

Unlike most dramas, Manoj emphasized that "Part-Time Wife" focuses on the development of strong characters as the main driving force of the storyline.

"I played the character first. From the character we make the story. So it's not the story that brings the character, the character that brings the story. And the subplot is also interesting, a fresh package," added Manoj.

"Istri Paruh Waktu" is scheduled to air starting April 27, 2026 on Netflix and April 28, 2026 on MDTV. The series is also starring a line-up of other well-known actors who promise high-quality acting.
