Modus Penipuan Produksi Mukena Rp5,5 Miliar, Ruben Onsu Ditipu Lewat Peran 'Admin' Fiktif

JAKARTA - Presenter Ruben Onsu has just revealed the alleged fraud that befell him regarding the mukena production business ahead of Eid last.

Through his lawyer, Minola Sebayang, it was revealed that the perpetrator with the initials Philipus Suprihatin used a very neat modus operandi to drain Ruben's money.

"This Philipus said that he could be a bridge for Ruben with a PT, the name of the PT is PT Venteny Fortuna Indo, related to plans to produce mukena," said Minola Sebayang in South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 21.

The modus operandi began with an intense demand for an advance payment under the guise of production costs and entertainment costs. The perpetrator convinced Ruben that the factory would only move if there was cash in front.

"Philipus said that in order to find a factory with good prices and good materials, he needed some costs to entertain. Based on trust because the acquaintance is also a friend, Ruben repeatedly transferred money," continued Minola.

Suspicions began to arise when the perpetrator allegedly manipulated the WhatsApp conversation. Philipus seemed to be acting as a middleman who communicated with the PT admin, although all of this was allegedly done by him.

"Ruben suspects that all these roles are played by this one person. So the role of PT, the role of the admin, the role of himself, all of them are played by the person whose picture is posted on Ruben's social media," explained the lawyer.

The cooperation which started three months before Ramadan promises a fantastic contract value. Ruben has deposited capital according to the revenue share composition that has been agreed on paper.

"The value of the contract in the agreement, Ruben said, was approximately Rp. 5.5 billion. The composition of the capital is 60-40. Ruben has fulfilled his obligation to transfer money for the benefit of entertainment and into the PT account," added Minola.

However, until Lebaran was over, the promised goods did not come. The money that Ruben sent to the PT's account was never forwarded to the production factory.

"Ruben's part has been transferred, but the PT has never disbursed the money to the factory. Let alone adding capital, what Ruben transferred was never transferred to the factory," he said.

Philipus is now missing and cannot be contacted, leaving Ruben with significant losses. This is what triggered Ruben's anger to upload a photo of the perpetrator on social media.

"Ruben complained, but Philipus couldn't be contacted anymore and the person seemed to disappear. This is what made Ruben angry and finally made the post," concluded Minola Sebayang.
