Military Court Sets a Panel of Judges for the Andrie Yunus Case

JAKARTA - The Military Court II-08 Jakarta has appointed a panel of judges who will lead the trial in the alleged persecution of activist of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Andrie Yunus.

"Yes, there is already a determination of the panel of judges for the trial later," said the spokesperson for the Jakarta Military Court II-08, Endah Wulandari, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 21.

Endah ensured that the legal process in the case related to Andrie Yunus would continue. The case file that was previously transferred by the Military Audit to the Jakarta Military Court has now been declared ready for trial.

In addition, the administrative stages of the case have been completed. The appointment of the panel of judges was also carried out based on the determination of the Head of the Military Court II-08 Jakarta using the Smart Majelis Application system.

The composition of the panel of judges who will try the case consists of three legal officers, namely Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto as the presiding judge, as well as Irwan Tasri and M. Zainal Abidin as members.

With the establishment of the panel of judges, the case of alleged persecution against Andrie Yunus is now waiting for the trial schedule to enter the examination stage at the court.

This process is an important step in law enforcement and efforts to provide legal certainty for the parties involved.

Previously, the Jakarta Military Court II-08 scheduled the first trial in the alleged persecution case against activist of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Andrie Yunus, on Wednesday (29/4).

The first trial will schedule the reading of the indictment against the defendants who are active military members.

In this case, there are four military members who have been named as defendants. They consist of three officers and one ensign, namely Captain NDP, Lieutenant One (Lettu) BHW, Lettu SL, and Sergeant Two (Serda) ES.

The four were previously suspects and are now officially defendants after the case file was transferred to the court.

The matter was recorded with the number of register 55/K/207/AL-AU/IV/2026 dated April 13, 2026. In the file, evidence, four defendants, and eight witnesses who will be present at the trial are also included.

Of the eight witnesses, five of them were members of the military, while the other three were from the civilian sector.
