Follow In The Footsteps Of Dogecoin, This Company Will Bring Bitcoin To The Moon

JAKARTA – After Elon Musk plans to bring Dogecoin to the moon via his SpaceX rocket. Apparently crypto trading company Bitmex also wants to bring Bitcoin to be sent to the Moon.

Reportedly, one physical bitcoin will soon be minted to be sent to the Moon via a space robotics company funded by Bitmex. The company claims Bitcoin will be on the Moon in the 4th quarter of 2021.

The crypto trading company announced plans to “take Bitcoin to the Moon” on Friday, June 4. Some people argue that the price of Bitcoin has gone to the Moon before Bitmex plans to fly physical BTC coins there.

The company that will help Bitmex realize the plan is Astrobotic Technology Inc. which is an aerospace robotics company supported by Bitmex.

Bitmex announced that NASA "has selected the company Astrobotic Technology to send a science, exploration, and technology demonstration payload to the lunar surface with its Peregrine lander," Bitmex wrote in its official announcement.

The cryptocurrency trading company also confirmed that it would mint the only physical Bitcoin that resembles the Casascius coin in 2013. The physical Bitcoin will use an indestructible holographic cover.

For information, Peregrine-1 is Astrobotic's first lunar lander and will be released in November 2021.

“(Physical Bitcoin) will occupy an official slot on the manifest. This will be the first Bitcoin to be on the surface of the Moon, with photographic evidence to be taken (as) the proof," said Bitmex.

On the physical Bitcoin, the name Bitmex will be displayed there along with the name of the mission, the date of printing and the price of Bitcoin at the time of printing.

“For all the talk about Bitcoin going to the Moon, we absolutely will,” said Alex Höptner, CEO of Bitmex.

Höptner also commented on Elon Musk's plan, which had previously announced his plans to send DOGE to the Moon, he argued that his party was not against "Dog Money".

"We're not against Dog Money, (however) we feel it's right to help Bitcoin get there first," the Bitmex boss said.
