Bodong Snapboost Investment Eats 17 Victims in Blora, Police Hands Down
BLORA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Blora Police, Central Java, has begun investigating a report of alleged fraud in the "snapboost" application investment with dozens of victims and losses estimated at Rp. 332 million.
"Currently we are receiving reports from 17 victims who previously came to the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) to report the case. We also clarified the victims who reported to the Blora Police SPKT," said Head of the Blora Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Zaenul Arifin in Blora, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 21.
Of the number of victims who reported, he said, the value of the losses was estimated at Rp. 332 million, with a nominal that varied for each victim.
The value of the loss, he said, was in accordance with the amount of funds deposited, although some of them reached Rp. 100 million for one victim.
He added that investigators were still collecting information and evidence to uncover the pattern of fraud and the parties involved in the case.
This case is also suspected of dragging the name of a teacher at a high school in Blora Regency. However, the police confirmed that they were still conducting an in-depth investigation to determine the role of the person concerned.
Furthermore, AKP Zaenul Arifin appealed to the public to be more vigilant against various digital-based fraud schemes.
"In the era of social media like now, the potential for crime is getting bigger. We appeal to the public not to be easily tempted by promotions or offers that are not clear about the truth," he said.
According to him, the public can remind each other to prevent new victims from appearing.
Currently, the Blora Police are also coordinating with the Central Java Police's cyber crime team to expedite the investigation process.
Meanwhile, Johan Adi Saputro, one of the reporters, admitted that he was interested in joining the application because of the promise of promising profits.
"I originally joined through a friend's account. The goal is simple, to improve the economy. The offer presented is quite convincing, especially if there are visible profit incentives," he said.
He explained that he made a deposit in stages until a total of Rp. 49.5 million.
"I deposited starting from Rp. 2 million, then increased to a total of around Rp. 49.5 million. However, during that time, I have never managed to withdraw the results or profits," he said.
Moreover, he said, since the beginning of April 2026, the application has started to experience problems, especially in the process of withdrawing funds.
"Initially it was still running, but around April 3, 2026 it was difficult to withdraw. Then it was opened again, and finally around April 12, 2026, after that it could not be accessed or withdrawn at all," he said.

He suspected that many other victims had not reported for various reasons, including embarrassment due to privacy issues. But his party hopes that there will be responsibility from the developer or organizer.
Johan also appealed to the public not to be easily tempted by the offer of instant profits.
The snapboost application promises victims will get a return of up to 100 percent in a short time.
